My Wilson Benesch, Audionet, Synthesis and Joule Electra Home Stereo
I thought it would be a good idea to put together a little web page to show my home stereo equipment. It's much easier to point a friend
to a web page than to try and list off all my components by heart. All my components are listed below from my
Wilson Benesch ACT loudspeakers and
Synthesis The Theatre monoblock vacuum tube amplifiers to my Audionet VIP cd/dvd player and Joule Electra LA-100 Mk III preamp.
Wilson Benesch ACT

The newest and final speaker addition to my system are the
Wilson Benesch ACT loudspeakers heralding from Sheffield, England. These are a keeper and
are absolutely stunning in the upgraded cherry wood finish. Every speaker from Wilson Benesch is unique and beautiful. The new generation ACT speaker is
amazing and sounds utterly fantastic. Such a beautiful piece of art, design and technology. These speakers replace my two year old Audes Blues loudspeakers (a fantastic
bang-for-your-buck speaker from Estonia).
Symphony Sound of Chicago assisted me with the purchase of my Audes and now with my Wilson Benesch ACT speakers.
Synthesis The Theatre

I've been a solid state amplification man my whole life. Never understood the reason/power behind vacuum tube amplification. Well, I still don't
understand it, but I know now that I much prefer it. Not only did I never think that I would own a vacuum tube amplifier, I never thought I would
own monoblocks. The Synthesis The Theatre monoblock amplifiers are absolutely beautiful. These Italian made amplifiers run at 70 Watts of pure
Class A power (each) using four EL-34's per side. What these things can do for a well recorded CD or record is insane.
Joule Electra LA-100 Mk III

The Joule Electra LA-100 preamp is a vacuum tube preamp designed by one of the greats in vacuum tube design, Mr. Jud Barber of
Joule Electra.
This preamp is a fantastic sounding piece of engineering that compares to much higher priced tube preamps. The quality construction and tube complement make for a powerhouse of a preamp.
The classic aesthetic beauty of the unit, coupled with a remote volume control, make the LA-100 the complete package.
Rix Rax

I picked up the ultimate in audio system racks, a Rix Rax rack. I purchased the 4-shelf upright in cherry wood with an inlay of purple heart. This is a piece of
art without a doubt. Beautiful craftsmanship and design. Built like a tank. It's so beautiful I can't say enough about it.
Richard Gray's Power Company Pole Pig and 600S

The Richard Gray's Power Company (RGPC) Pole Pig and 600S combine to form the IsoGray system. This combination provides isolated power with no crosstalk
or ground loops. These components immediately removed a layer of line noise from the sound coming out of my system. The sound stage became deeper and more
clarified. They are expensive components but worth it once you've put together a nice system that you're proud of. Definitely worth a listen.
Audionet SAM V2 Integrated Amplifier
I just picked up (April '08) a backup amplifier for my two channel system, the Audionet SAM V2 integrated. It's an amazing piece of German engineering. I knew it would be good since Wilson Benesch uses Audionet products with their speakers for pretty much every show they display at. Benesch loves Audionet so much that they became Audionet's UK importer and distributor. Definitely overkill for a "backup" amp but I got such a great deal on it I couldn't pass it up.
Audionet VIP - Versatile Integrated Player (DVD/CD)
Also managed to find an Audionet VIP DVD/CD player to replace my Rega Jupiter. I love Audionet products.
